POSTGRADUATE COURSE

Apart from being a Public Administrator, I would like to do a diploma in Couple and Sexuality. This course is taught by the Sociedad Chilena de Sexología y Educación Sexual  and the Clínica Instituto de Urología y Sexología. I would like to do this diploma because I am interested in the area of sexuality, I think this area it’s compatible with public administration insofar that a study and an investigation can be made of how public institutions are modeling people’s sexual behavior. I would like to do this course in Chile because I would like to make it compatible with my future job, as a part-time study.

My favorite course of the curriculum is “Comportamiento evolutivo y respuesta sexual humana”, because I think that it’s the course that help me the most for the studies and investigation that I would like to do.

Sexuality in general is a topic that is taboo for the society, but it’s a topic that it should be treated! It’s so important that people know about it and about their sexual care, otherwise they will be ignorant in this theme and make comments like the VHI is a sickness that it will lead you to death, thing that it’s not like that! With the correct care you can live a normal and healthy life.

For that reason I would like to do this diploma.

MY FUTURE JOB

The job I would like to have in the future is being an advisor to a politician, be it a deputy, senator, councilor, mayor, etc. I think that is going to be a great job for me because I don’t want to do only bureaucracy, I would also like to do a job that has a greater impact on society, taking ideas from advising to Congress.
I am not interested in traveling or the salary that I will have, because money is not the most important thing when you are working for the people; I think that all the people who study or studied Public Administration should not be interested in money, this work must be for the people, not for monetary reward.

I am currently not taking any specialty, but I plan to take a degree in Political Science, because it is the line that interests me the most and I think that learning about theory can help me a lot for my future job,
In addition, if later I want to work in the academic and research area, it will help me much more Political Science than Public Management, which is a more practical area.

I really like my career and I have high expectations in what will be my future work.

MY BEST FRIEND

My best friend is Constanza Icaza, I met her when I had five years old, we were to the same school. She is so beautiful and kindness, I don’t know a single person that think that she’s annoying and don’t like her.

We have a lot of memories together, a funny one is that when we were nine years old, we invented a country named like us, “Coni”, this country had a national day, a flag and an anthem (haha).

We are like family, in fact, her family used to invite me to their celebrations (birthdays, Christmas, baptism); another thing is that her family had a business, they have a flower shop in the General Cemetery of La Serena, and we used to worked there, she all the weekends and me only for the days that they required more hands to work (Christmas, new year, mom’s day, etc.). I love them so much, as much as I loved some persons of my own family.

In the actuality, we don’t see us so much, because we left La Serena to different cities for studies, she is living in Concepción now and I am living in Santiago; that make me sad, because we used to hang out every day, inclusive we went to the fair together!

However, despite of how much I miss her, she is always in my mind and my love for her doesn’t going to change.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The career of Public Administration has a lot of areas to work with. You can work in municipalities, ministries,  hospitals or in any public organism. Because the labor field of Public Administration is so big you can work in the area that makes you feel more comfortable.

I will like to work as politicians advisor, ‘cause  this way my work and ideas directly influence the political decisions taken by those who I am advising, and this way, these people can take the ideas we worked to the Congress and do something about it: make laws, decrees, or simply put the issue on the table. In this way, I can help a larger number of people compared to if I work in a organism.

If I get to work in a public organism I will like to treat the areas of health and education, either working in Ministries, Intendencies, Undersecretaries and, in the case of the area of health, I will like to work directly in a hospital.

That’s what I like the most of my career, that you can work in many things, and regardless the area, you can help people.

THE BEST TRIP I EVER HAD

The best trip that I ever had was to Colombia, specifically Bogotá, I travel with six university classmates, we win a internship thanks to a investigation project. We were to the Escuela Superior de Administración Pública (ESAP), this is a university dedicate to the public administration. We stayed in a police hotel, where the people that stayed there were all policemen, the hotel had a spa, a events salon, a pool, a casino, and much other things.

The first day that we were in Colombia, we walked the city and it was so interesting to know other places that were different to Chile. The second day we were to a costume party in the hotel, where all the people has cool costumes, less us, haha.

In the week, we were to classes in ESAP, some of them were boring, but some of them were so interesting to assist, an example is the day that we were to the Ministerio de Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones (Ministry of Information Technology and Communications).

We traveled at the end of October, so we spent Halloween there, we went to a party in the busiest neighborhood and had a great time, we danced and laughed a lot.

This was my best trip, thanks for reading!

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

Since I was a little girl I dream with travel with my parents to Cuba, because I admire so much its fight, and I like its passion for feeling latinoamerican, its culture in general is very interesting and worthy of making known. Of Cuba I know about its history, that its something I admire, and I know about the political model that this country have.
I wouldn’t like to live there just because I would like to live in Chile my whole life, because I wanna be there if my family needs somenthing. In spite of I don’t wanna live in Cuba, I think that is a beautiful country to live.
If I have the oportunity to travel to Cuba, no matter the city, I would like to tour the city and talk with a lot of people, because I think that’s the best way to know any culture and how the people that lives there perceive its country in general.
